Eyelash Extensions Aftercare

Can The Lash Extensions Get Wet?

Of course you can get your lash extensions wet, but not right away! The lash glue is fast drying but the bond of the glue can be weakened with moisture if it doesn’t have time to set.

Such time may differ depends on the extensions and glue your use. Generally speaking, you should wait at least 24 hours before getting any moisture near your lashes after getting a set of extensions. After that, feel free to take a shower or have regular face washing.

Eyeliner, Mascara, Eyeshadow and Makeup Remover

Actually when you’re wearing eyelash extensions, there is no need to apply eyeliner or mascara because you wake up with that amazing look. But if you insist on using something to pump up the effect, make sure you reach for a water-based variant instead of an oil-based one. Oil can break down the adhesive bonds, resulting in poor retention. You should also be wise enough not to use waterproof eyeliner or mascara since oil-based remover is necessary when removing them.

Just keep in mind whatever you are going to use around or on the eyes, do not use oil-based or waterproof products.  So here are the points.

  • No oil-based or waterproof eyeliner or mascara
  • No cream eyeshadow
  • No oil-based makeup remover

Other things you should keep in mind when wearing eyelash extensions:

  • Do not rub your eyes.
  • Do not sleep on your face.
  • Do not place your eyes under strong water flow when showering.
  • Clean them regularly with eyelash cleanser.

A Good Choice For Longer Retention

Beauty7 Longerlife Coating Essence

Designed to extend the life of eyelash extensions, the Beauty7 Longerlife Coating Essence is applied to the eyelash extensions after the glue completely dried and before the application of mascara. It helps keep the bonding when you are swimming, showering and washing face, contributing to the longer retention of eyelash extensions. For daily use, or 2 to 3 times a week.
